Motorola Droid Bionic Brings Dual-Core Processing and 4G LTE to Verizon
After several delays and months of anticipation, Verizon has finally gone official with the Motorola Droid Bionic. This is the first smartphone to bring both a dual-core 1GHz processor and 4G LTE support to Verizon's network, which are flanked by several other juicy specs that position the Bionic as Verizon's flagship Android handset.
The Droid Bionic has 1GB of memory, now the standard for high end smartphones. It boasts a 4.3-inch qHD display using scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass with a dual-layer anti-reflective coating. There's an 8MP rear-facing camera with flash and 1080p HD video recording, front-facing camera for video chat, 32GB of total storage space (16GB onboard and 16GB microSD card preinstalled), HDMI out, support for wireless charging and printing, and other odds and ends all wrapped in Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread).
Minus a slide-out keyboard, the Droid Bionic appears to have every modern day smartphone amenity, and it will be available online and in stores starting starting September 8 (Thursday) for $300 with a new two-year contract.

Hey Paul, any word on the status of the bootloader? Motorola has been claiming they're moving away from locked-down phones, but what about this one? The rumors have been heavily on the open side, but I haven't seen confirmation yet.

The bootloader is locked. However, the phone has already been rooted for superuser access.

That's a pretty sad thing to say. Does this have contain the cure for some sort of cancer that is afflicting you?
Anyway, for those ready to jump on the "must have" 4g, make sure to check if the area you live even supports 4g.
