If they have absolute proof that these sites were selling illegal merchandise then kudos to them. However in the articles I read from another website on this topic said that they "allegedly" sold illegal merchandise. So all it takes is someone to point the finger and cry illegal and the government takes you down? Ridiculous.

RUSENSITIVESWEETNESS

Homeland Security has become a private police force for big campaign donors.

America deserves what's coming next.

Dear Homeland Security;
We have these folks here in the country called gang members; ie CRIPS, BLOODS etc... They terrorize, assault, murder, rob and otherwise wreak havoc here in the Homeland. They certainly fall into the category of Domestic Terrorists. I think you should concentrate your efforts on taking them down!!! The NFL has enough money to hire their own lawyers and "sue" the counterfitters out of existence. The MPAA and RIAA have enough money to "sue" any bigtime copywriters out of existence. Go after some real terrorists, that is what we pay you for right???

But if they did they it could hurt the CIA drug operation south of the boarder. Besides, the ATF has given them so many guns that not even the military wants to go up against them.

The government should allow "open hunting season" on gangs and sponsor a relocation program to move rednecks into the cities for a short brief time. Should solve all our problems in 18-24 months.

Priceless.

one day, twitchtv? blip.tv? youtube? all gone because they have copyrighted materials...
Just saying...

BTW, like the others mentioned, why would Homeland be interested? I really doubt counterfeit NFL merchandise includes guns, explosives, drugs and or slaves...
But then, I ain't no expert on this stuffs, I am only a tiny nerd in the world wide web. ^.^"

Looks like PIPA and SOPA weren't needed after all.

I just watched a video on youtube. I must be a terrorist. Oops, Wrong thread.

Hmmm ,,, No take down notice, no warrant, no due process ... must be a new kind of justice I haven't heard about in a long time. Who's policing the the DOJ?? Big Brother is becoming more and more a reality. Joseph Stalin and Leonid Brezhnev would be so proud!

I don't really care about cracking down on counterfeit goods sites, and I do understand the desire to stop illegal streaming sites....

I'm just wondering what the hell it has to do with HOMELAND SECURITY.

avatar

Biceps

Yeah, I don't really get that one either. I thought this was the FBI's jurisdiction.

avatar

macncapn

it's "protecting" the US economy. An important factor in the security of the nation. I would say that if what they were doing had any merit it would lie directly under the jurisdiction of homeland security.

avatar

Nimrod

god knows the NFL doesnt have two rd cents to scratch together these days. its a good fucken thing they are saving our economy!

avatar

pellier

Yes, let's all get mad at the government for shutting down illegal sites.

avatar

warptek2010

Yeah, let's thank them for giving the NFL and other corporate media big wigs the ability to peddle their stupid content and dumb as dog poop licensed crap at absolutely ridiculous prices on an uneducated, asleep population who care more about American Idol and Jersey Shore than their country going to hell.

avatar

win7fanboi

Thank you... I thought I was the only one that thought most of 'reality tv' is for morons. Idiocracy anyone?

avatar

dswanick

Yeah, because due process is a vastly overrated concept...

avatar

steevonson

Your protests against bureaucracy means NOTHING.

This is why we need protection, people streaming media.
