Adding IMAP to the Mail app is a biggie, but I still wish it had POP support.

Hmm, my take is that the App Store on Win8 launch is going to be very SPARSE with few new launches from external developers. That said, MS is trying to get at least a few apps as damn useful so that people keep coming back to the Metro interface. Otherwise, most folks will do what I do and just skip over Metro to the desktop and never look at it again.

BTW Start8 from Stardock is a terrific program, err app, for Win8 as it replaces a lot taken away by Win8 with a lot of customization. $5.

I'm looking for app's that do not update

I'm looking for app's that do not connect to the Internet for any reason

I'm looking for app's that do not open security holes in my systems

I'm looking for app's that just simply "WORK" so that updates are never required in the first place

Do any such app's exist or must we endure all these security vulnerabilities and back doors that Microsoft and others provide

Are there any app's that provide security to the end user or are they all providing security to the NSA, greasy polititions and Large Corporations?

You won't find any apps or programs...from ANY operating system...that provide what you are looking for.

Yeah, I know but I just had to ask

Seems like security programs these days just open new vulnerabilities for me

Who do they provide security for anyway?

Well. They do provide a paycheck to the ones that say they provide security to you.....

I hope the updates add features.

They'll suck less, but still suck.
