Isn't it funny that they take on one of the two biggest phone OS out now so close to the launch of the new Windows Phone 7 launch? #microsoftfail

You have to type in words you can hardly read to post and this site is still full of spam. The new posting system is enough to make me not want to renew to the Mag.

Microsoft has patents that cover all Email clients and every OS that supports power management? Uhm... End Software Patents.

.....lawyers should sue lawyers for mal practice, if they lose the case  :D

I like Google. Google never sues anyone (unless really necessary). But everyone sues Google. Even worse, however, is that they don't go right after Google (they're too scared), They go after HTC or Motorola to sue them. Everyone's a wimp or a douchebag except for Google.

Has everyone by the balls. You wanna sue me? Good luck for anyone searching for your site!

Patent trolling: it's not just for do-nothing lawyers anymore.

Do you remember microsoft saying that it is cheaper to go with their new WP7 OS because it protects the company that is buying the OS from lawsuits. I think this is what i would call a scare tactic to make companies think about is it really cost effective to trust an open platform? But still i know they are proving a point but still its a little much when they are already getting sued by other companies. And microsoft could of used them as an example instead of sueing.

i missed that from ms. you are probably right

This seems not only frivolous but blatantly anticompetitive. Cut the shit, Microsoft. This is totally transparent.

Another example of Microsoft bashing. You do realize Apple is suing for the same thing also? so who is breaking Antitrust this time around? GOOGLE!

WTF is wrong with our legal system?

avatar

riopato

that if a competing business is using features or products that your business created, patented, and licensed for it, but didn't ask, borrow, or pay the license from you. You wouldn't sue that company? Is it any wonder that none of you don't run a business?

Fecal Face

I agree, I think the legal system needs to change a bit, at least with how suing works. Why can't companies just focus on making their own product better, instead of just suing the competition?

Better question, why does the legal system allow companies to sue each other over such idiotic and pointless things?

Have you ever wondered if doing something is legal or not? Did you know it is not illegal to smoke marijuana? It is illegal to have it on you for suspicion to intent to sell. But how the hell you gonna smoke it if you don't have it? Wasn't Arkansas right to own slaves repealed a few years ago? the legal system isn't perfect but it works.

Do you think if your licensed property is stolen in another country, they would give a shit about you and your property? The arrogance and ignorance of Americans and their freedoms are frightening! No wonder the Tea Party movement exists. Anything you say loud enough, people will believe anything!

Yes, talk about the arrogance and ignorance of Americans, as if that matters at all.  Oh look, a country has free enterprise so let's pick something out about it that we don't like, and then use the generalized word 'americans' to express our discontent which is not wholeheartedly an 'american' fault in the first place, it's a business fault.  I hate pretentious people who hate on America.  Where are the immigrants ending up?  Not in eurofag countries, or anywhere else for that matter.  America is the land of dreams; that's how it's always been, take that in for me.
