The MS Store in Metrotown, Burnaby is just some booths in the middle of the hall. It wasn't as exciting as I imagined it to be but it was till so packed that I didn't even get a chance to play with the new RT tablet. I hope it's much improved since then.

I'm so glad Microsoft is copying Apple. I may switch over to windows one day but I will stay with Apple for now. I am not sure MS will continue going down this path.

I'd probably go into one at some point, if I didn't fear them being exactly like an Apple store, which is possible my biggest turnoff.

I went to the new store in Toronto (at Yorkdale mall) and the experience was a great one. It was absolutely packed too. Having said that, Apple just opened the largest enclosed store in North America, two stores down from it (ouch). The thing looked like an airport hangar; absolutely massive.

Does no one else find it ironic that you could pretty much just change a logo and the devices in the store and you have an Apple store? The employees clap and dance, they have the same stupid lanyards, and wear pretty much the same clothes. It's almost if the person in charge of this ridiculousness at Microsoft camped out in front of an Apple store and said, "This will do."

I went to La Cantera mall in San Antonio recently and the store was still under construction (obviously). Whats ironic is the fact that it was right in front of the Apple store. The Apple store did have a long line for no apparent reason.

In Santa Clara, the Apple store was also right across the path from the Microsoft store as I recall. lol...

How are they choosing these locations?
The only store in Pennsylvania is in Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, the Apple Store at the King-of-Prussia mall just moved to a space 3x its former size. Where's Microsoft out here in Eastern PA?

The Apple store in KoP was far too small for the amount of traffic that they had. I'm surprised it took them this long to upgrade.

MS stores will be a guaranteed hit like the Nokias Rt tablet!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

While I build my own computers I do sometimes buy a notebook (or a tablet). I must say that the MS store is the only place that I have found that sets up a new computer exactly as I would do. No crapware, no garbage trials, all clean, AV set up and ready to go. I bought a notebook there for my Father in Law and I got it home and went to clean it out and set it up and I found that there was nothing to do, it was clean and running perfectly.
I also like their help desk, you can make an appointment on line and when you arrive there is a knowledgeable person there that can help you, non of the iKiddie (sub) genius bar wait for hours for sub par help stuff.
Those of you that have never been to a MS store try it. You will be pleasantly surprised.

NICE :)

(people delete bloatware anyway, why do they even bother??)

Microsoft Signature is an excellent benefit

Happy, there's a lot more 'under-the-hood' to Msft Sig. besides "deleting bloatware"

Yes! It's coming to my city.
I hope Surface Pro is out when mine opens.
