I never use my own email if I dont absolutely dont have to.  If I'm testing out some new site or software and they want my email for promotional or whatever reasons, I give them the same bogus email addy of:

whats@tooya.com

***********

Every morning is the dawn of a new error.

I try to keep My e-mail address to Myself for people I know ( or businesses I trust eg. MaximumPC ). Whenever I check out programs offered online or whatever, if they ask for My E-mail, I suddenly don't need their product so bad.I never even open an E-mail from someone I don't know; I mark it as junk and delete it. People need to practice safe internet usage and E-mail useage first and foremost.I have two e-mail addresses aswell, one for personal e-mails friends and family ect., and one for purchasing software like hddlife and what not. If the one email gets overrun with spam; I move on with a new account. Not sure if You could call this an effective method or not, but it works for Me so far.

The grass is always greener on the other side.
