Maximum Protip: Don't Play Frogger in Real Traffic
Do we really need to warn against demonstrating those awesome Frogger skills on a real road with real moving vehicles weighing thousands of pounds? Yes, yes we do.
According to a local NBC news affiliate in South Carolina, a 23-year-old man was pummeled by an SUV after him and his friends got the not-so-bright idea of playing a live version of Frogger. For those of you unfamiliar (deduct 500 geek points), the original Frogger is a 1980s arcade game that tasks the player with navigating a virtual frog through traffic and across a river.
The man who was struck is in stable condition and looks like he'll pull through. Perhaps next time he has a hankering to bring a classic title to life, he'll start with Pong and work his way up.
