"gmvolk - September 30, 2011 at 2:29pmSo what. If the person who owns this phone is stupid enough to leave it sitting around than they deserve to have their phone busted into."

Then why have a password at all?  If there is no chance that anyone would have access to your phone, then putting on a password would offer no benifit except give you unecessary work and waste your time having to unlock it.  Do you have a password on your phone?  If so, then you are either a hypocrite or are admiting that you are stupid, according to your own logic.

This happened to the iPhone last year.  Simple fix most likely via firmware update.

This is yet another reason I am not getting another Samsung phone. The Samsung Moment I have could have been a great phone if they put more effort into it, instead they released it with a fatal flaw that kills all cell connections when data locks up. This flaw renders the phone useless to make or receive calls till you power it down, a FCC violation since no 911 calls can be made in this locked up state.

Is this because ATT's "customization" to the phone or because of Samsung's software? Could it be hardware related?

So what.  If the person who owns this phone is stupid enough to leave it sitting around than they deserve to have their phone busted into.  I have a cheap tracfone, and I always know where it is.

Shut up. It's a security feature that's flawed. Do you wear a bullet-proof vest 24/7? Then using your logic you "deserve" to get shot then.

Some people can't have their phone on body 24/7 there re re, plus phones do GET STOLEN. Just because you have a shitty $2 tracfone doesn't mean that security isn't important to other people.

Getting shot and losing your phone are in no way the same thing.  You must be one of those people that loose their phones constantly.  I never said my tracfone was shitty, just cheap, but I still won't leave it lying around for someone to pick up.  No need to have a stick up your ass if you don't agree with someone elses opinion either.

Nope not really. Ur logic is that if something happens to people they "deserve" it. Like getting pick pocketed and having ur wallet stolen...is that more of the same thing? Then you "deserve" to have all of bank accounts drained.

I have to leave my phone in my car for morning PT(can't have it on my person) so does that qualify as leaving it "lying around for someone to pick up"? Granted someone would have to break into my car(that's actually the easy part) to get it but the same rule still applies.

People don't "deserve" bad things to happen to them jackass is what I'm sayin.

Given what I have heard about AT&T just on this site, I am most certain that AT&T will not be telling people.
