Lian Li Goes Nuts, Designs Crazy Looking Case
Not everything being shown off at CeBIT will actually make it to retail, so we may never actually see Lian Li's PC-T1R chassis. Judging by the pictures, that might not be a bad thing.
Lian Li certainly found itself thinking outside the box on this one, perhaps a bit too far. At first glance, the PC-T1R looks like a gigantic metal spider, but that's not even the quirkiest part. What we can't wrap our heads around is why the oversized contraption only accommodates micro-ATX motherboards. The whole point of building a mATX system is to save space, but good luck stuffing the PC-T1R into your home theater cabinet or any other tight squeezes.
Misgivings aside, the PC-T1R also makes room for a hard drive, optical drive, and power supply. There's an on/off switch, and according to news and rumor site Fudzilla, should this make it past CeBIT, you'll be able to buy it in red or black for about $225.

Once again Maximum Pc is way behind every other news source, and doesnt bring accurate info to its readers.
Heres an article from engadget on February 10th http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/10/lian-li-masters-pc-chassis-marketing-gets-our-attention-with-t1/ explaining that the case is meant as a microITX benchmarking case for fast access. Not exactly inteded for end users.
Between this, 5 month old dragon age reviews and way to many stories about isps, cell phones, and google, maximum pc really has nothing to do with "maximum pcs" anymore.

so that is a cool "case" and all, but does the case come with all of those cathode lights? i hope they do, because by itself, the framing is pretyt plain. Digging all of the holes in the legs for possible cable management.

Hey, that's the FUN of PC-rigging and being a PC enthusiast - the case. It's all geek stuff, until you get to the case, where one could be imaginative and show their personality. I give props to Lian-Li for exploring cuz in the end, it'll only give us consumers the option of choosing. I just bought a Dremel set a month ago because I'm thinking of making some of my own ATX cases as a hobby during the summer to keep myself busy and entertained. It's gonna be out of this world.

Yes, it does look like a Replicator from Stargate
Anyways, I would love to have that as my PC case setup. That thing is banging. It's too bad that it doesn't support full ATX motherboard systems, as I would honestly consider it for my next build later this year.
