Actually from what I have researched the 21.9 ration will eliminate or reduce the black bars you have at the top and bottom of your picture when watching movies. So this is a good thing and Big Screen TV's will be coming out in this format also.

This is idiotic. Most movies are 16:9 nowadays, meaning there will be black bars at the edges or weird stretching. Aside from that, there's no benefit to web browsing, where taller is better. Why can't we finally standardize on 16:9 and just keep everything there so we don't end up with stupid incompatibilities?

speak for yourself. a media pro, this looks tailored for us! working in a news room, i can even see these being a huge benefit for the writers and producers who have 3 monitors each. i just hope the resolution on these are good. 21:9 seems to be ideal for various types of work and not so much movies.

Sweet. I wish it was curved though :/

Wonder what kind of resolution that thing has. Would be a cool alternative to a multi-monitor workstation..

Most of the ones I have seen have been 2560 x 1080.

Because 22:9 aspect ratio is considered silly. Bad Feng Shui.
