LG Announces First Full-HD 3D Monitor to Hit Store Shelves
Well what do you know, someone's finally gone and done it, and that someone is LG. What exactly are we talkinga bout? Releasing the world's first Full-HD 3D monitor.
We're told the display is already on store shelves, but details remain sparse. Here's what we do know: It's a 23-inch display suitable for both gamers and those who dabble in 3D broadcasts. The underlying technology is based on the "Shutter Glasses" technology, though seamless switching between 2D and 3D means you won't need to don a pair of goofy glasses every time you use the monitor, only when viewing 3D content.
And that's pretty much it, at least until LG divulges more info. Should they wait too long, though, they run the risk of being overshadowed of competitive models that are likely on the horizon, especially with CES just around the corner.

I really don't want those stuid glasses. I wear safety glasses all day at work, when I come home to play games, or watch TV(3D TV is supposedly coming soon) glasses are the last thing I want to put on- at least until I'm 60+. Would someone please kill this before it catches on?

I'm already getting dizzy just thinking about it. I'm siding with MeTo and his comments. However, it might work for kids as it's easier for them to overcome the negative side effects as opposed to the older folks.
We'll have to see.

As long as you have to ware special glasses this will fail. History "always" repeats itself.

Dude, the glasses will always be required. That's how 3D works. It's nice to see HD 3D. But if you are holding out for non-glasses 3D, you will be depressed. And saying History repeats itself is a little ignorant. It is a much stronger technology than the first 3D. It's awesome. Trust me.

Dude talk about ignorant Google holographic 3d TV. And guess what you need "NO" glasses. Those glasses you are bent on people wearing cause seizures, headaches, dizziness. They will fail.
