Obligatory "Wat da eff I thought this was MAXIMUM PC not MINIMUM TABLET Snore wake me up when we have 1024 core Tegra 680 Super Kepler".

Ok now with that out of the way, this is a very interesting chip. Do we know if the CPU cores are now A15 based or are they still A9's?

My Xoom is almost 2 years old.... It's it's NV40 based Tegra2 is really starting to show its age since upgrading to Jelly Bean. I'm ready to make a upgrade. Ideally I'd like AMD to step in....but that's not a option right now. Basically its Tegra or Exynos and since I refuse to buy Samsung's crap I'm left with buying Tegra.

20 times as powerful as Tegra2 sounds really nice.

I heard from another site that it will be an A15 core. If it wasn't then I would hesitate on saying that this will be a performance king. It does seem to be a very nice system with obvious support toward 2560 by 1440 video. Heck this can be a killer SOC if it turns out to be like this.

I found out from another site it was A15 based too.

4 A15's, and 72 core GPU.....it all sounds great and it is. But the REAL important part is we finally have dual channel RAM support. Being hobbled with single channel is getting pretty painful on my Tegra2 Xoom.

dual channel DDR3 and USB 3.0 are definitely the newsworthy tidbits here

Tegra 4 devices will be quite impressive indeed. It's no wonder why these power-sipping, yet super powerful devices are overtaking laptops. The increased current on USB 3 should provide quicker charging, no?

It doesn't really matter, all android tablets I know of use proprietary chargers.

strange as my nexus 7 uses usb

doubt it, if i'm right USB 2.0 and 3.0 were both rated at 100watts

USB 2 is rated at 2.5w
USB 3 is rated at 4.5w

a new spec is going to bring 100w USB 3 with new cables
