I didn't think the Xbox had an OS of that small of size.  I would've figured that the 120 MB would have been the Xbox OS instead of the Sony one.

I second that.

But I can't wait to see what's the next generation of consoles would look like.  Imaging an advanced version of cell computing, multi-graphic processors, and dozens of GB of RAM.... wooo...

Now will this be a firmware update or will it only come with the new updated ps3's? i'm gonna be pissed if it only comes with a new updated console because i just bought a ps3 slim for christmas. Reply Asap. <---ps3 fanboy

Wouldn't "Latest PS3 firmware.." be more appropriate, since the latest consoles could be interpreted as the Slims only.  Just a thought.

Otherwise, this is great news (or at least it's not BAD news).  Here's hoping they find a few cool ways to use this newly available RAM.

It better be firmware. If it wasn't, I would see this being completely pointless as it would segregate PS3 console owners into two catagorys. Those that can run games that require the extra memory, and those that cannot because they have an older version.
