Outstanding. That was the only issue I had with my Kindle.  However, since the library e-book system was down most of the time anyway, it wasn't that big a deal. Maybe with Amazon getting behind them, the stupid thing will actually be dependable. Writers did get royalties and publishers still edit and publish with E-books, more actually as they have to be formatted for the devices. If they were really smart they will offer an Ebook format for a discounted price with every regular book sold. That would be easy...just put a page in the book with one of those little scratch off things to tell it has not been used available for a one time use.

In fact, Internet provides a great number of services which allow to stay at home and use various online options, including paycheck loans online.

I loved what youve done here. The design is elegant, your stuff classy. Yet, youve got an edginess to what youre offering here. Ill definitely come back for more if you keep this up. Dont lose hope if not too many people see your vision, know youve got a fan right here who values what youve got to say and the way youve presented yourself. good on you!

...and that is why I buy books....real ones, so I can loan them to a friend for an unspecified time. Kindle can kiss my rosy red cheeks.

TechW,  If that is all that is holding you back, go ahead and purchase multiple Kindles for your family.  Register them all on the same account.  Your family members can read them all at no additional charge.  You are freely allowed to share books on the same account.  Just be careful, many publishers restrict the number of devices to 5.  Which means you can read the book on a Kindle, Blackberry, Iphone, IPad, Android, and/or PC.  But each one counts as a device.

This is not Amazon's doing, but the {Greedy Evil} publishers.  Some have no restrictions.

Enjoy and Happy New Year!

I checked over 50 of my ebook purchases and not 1 was available for loaning.

This is one of the top three reasons I have been holding off on getting an e-reader. And I really want one. I purchase and read quite a lot of books as does my wife and family. I absolutely must be able to loan out the books I buy to my family like I currently do with the physical ones. Without that feature, e-books are a non-starter for me.

When will publishers (and studios/labels) learn that by not giving reasonable rights to consumers that they are encouraging an environment of frustration that creates disrespect for copyrights and often leads people to piracy for the functionality they expect?

Yes, we will use it and in fact a family member just choose a Kindle with this feature being one of the reasons for the choice.
