JVC is banking on you being ready to stop griping about the 3D revolution and being a part of it instead. That's the idea behind the new JVC GS-TD1, supposedly the world's first consumer class full HD 3D camcorder. The GS-TD1 comes with two imaging sensors to capture three-dimensional images in similar fashion to how your eyeballs process the world around them.
"With more commercially-produced 3D content coming along this year, sales of 3D TVs are expected to be strong," observed Dave Owen, Vice President, Consumer Video, JVC U.S.A. “But what could be better than creating your own home videos in 3D? We think there will be plenty of 3D TV buyers eager to do just that. Furthermore, we think they’ll appreciate that our new camcorder offers both Full HD 3D recording and several options for archiving and playing back their 3D footage.”

JVC's not only betting on there being demand for home 3D videos, but that early adopters will be willing to pay for the luxury of shooting such videos. The GZ-TD1, which is available now, carries an MSRP of $1,700.
