seriously this is pointless, if people want to download things for free they will just like people that smoke weed it's illegal thousand/millions have been arrested but people still do it. The government needs to realize that the people have the power to change laws by choosing to obey them or not, and all of these gov't officials are subserviant to us, meaning they do what we want them to do they don't have absolute power in this country. If a band is good I will buy their music but unfortunately 90% of bands are fing terrible and shouldn't have a recording contract, copyright laws on music are bs the musicians make money from touring not from cd sales. If a movie is bad I'm not going to buy the dvd. If quality increases then so will profit, they need to quit blaming torrenting for their lost revunue and start blaming the shit talent they hired, and the reccession people aren't wasting as much money so their profits are down and they go with the scapegoat of torrents, but guess what it's their own fault for not adapting to the times I know if something is worth buying before it's released so adjust by making things that are higher quality. So basically the laws and the companies funding the artist need to change because torrenting isn't going away. /incoherent rant

Well...how do I put this? Fuck. That is exactly what we need, government intervention! Everything government interferes with goes well, right? Hah! What an effing joke this is.

Check out an installable app called "Bit Che" it searches multiple torrent sites :)

Thankfully, the Pirate Bay is still alive, even though there is evidence pointing to the fact that American lawmakers/the MAFIAA/etc. can't seem to grasp that Sweden isn't a state.

Damn you MPAA, you know how hard it is to find a torrent site. When I google it, there's like thousand of sites and now I have to find one that I like, again. God, pirate bay is so hurting, they only have a few thousand new torrent upload a day compare to millions at its peak.

So, the idea is to shut-down torrent sites, like this, to stop the spread of piracy? Hm, another one will simply take its place, and all the while, someone else will think of a more innovative way to deliver the goodies to the masses. Honestly, is shutting down another torrent site ultimately the best resolution? Does it really stop piracy? Does it really, really resolve anything?

What I don't get, is I thought thepiratebay was shut down but I still see it's up with new torrents all the time.

You can still upload torrents to TPB, however, you cannot use their tracker, tracker.thepiratebay.org, which still gets auto-added to any torrent you upload to the site.
