We're looking for a few good writers to join our team of news bloggers. This could mean you! If you're passionate about computer hardware and have an unhealthy obsession with gadget news and trends, Maximumpc.com could be the perfect outlet for you to share your technology fetish. Responsibilities would include writing 3-4 (paid!) news posts every weekday, between the hours of 11am to 3pm PST, with the opportunity to write feature-length stories on specific topics. Extensive writing experience isn't necessary, but familiarity with the technology industry is a must. Interested applicants should send a resume and a brief writing sample to norman [at] maximumpc.com as soon as possible. You do not need to live in the San Francisco Bay Area for this position. Improbable fame and fortune await!

Question regarding ownership. If one is hired to write for MaxPC, are ownership rights retained by the author or does MaxPC own the content we write? Does the author give MaxPC exclusive rights to the content? Just curious :) I would assume that last quesiton to be true, but I'm less sure on the first question. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my inquiry maxpc :)

Just read Ars Technica and DigiTimes and steal their articles. That's what the current writers seem to do. Most of the articles on this site are here one or two days after I've already read them somewhere else (usually with references to where I read them the first time).

Seriously is there an age requirement for the job? I'm assuming 18, because its pretty much standard. However, let's say a 16 year old chose to apply, would he be eligible?

Maximum Pc is agreat mag and podcast, it would be really fun to work for them but idk, I just at writing but writing about stuff I enjoy and not about "To Kill a Mocking Bird" and other dumb english books I had to read this year.

Hey I have other hobbies other than the computer, I have like 4 other computers in my base ment though. I fly model airplanes, my dad funds that hobbie I fund my own addiction.

If your a PC enthusiast, read MaxPC, and are less then 18, you don't need anything else :)
