iTunes Releases New Feature for Depeche Mode Fanboys (And Other Fanboys, Later)

So you’re a really big fan of a band. Such a big fan, that you’ll find yourself seeking out any new tracks from the artist and grabbing them at any expense. Don’t feel ashamed, there are others just like you!
One such band that (evidently) has such a fan base is Depeche Mode, and it looks like iTunes is helping hardcore listeners get their fix. A new feature recently released, called the “iTunes Pass,” will allow buyers to automatically get anything new that they release onto the iTunes Store within a set period of time (including albums, special tracks, remixes, videos, etc.).
The Depeche Mode iTunes Pass is being released alongside their latest album, Sounds of the Universe, and will allow buyers to get all they can eat before June 16 of this year. And don’t worry; none of the music will have DRM attached.
Currently, Depeche Mode is the only band with a pass on the popular music store, but it’s expected that others will soon follow once Apple works out any kinks that might remain.

Agreed. And no, this doesn't make me gay, nor does liking Depech Mode. Married, 2 kids.

I'm not bashing anyone who likes them. I'm more or less bashing itunes for using them as an advertising point. I'm married with 2 kids (10 and 11) and a baby on the way.

Please do not use the term "Gay" to refer to something you dislike. It is disrespectful to homosexuals.

It's not because I dislike them, it's because they are homosexuals, gay, whatever. Years and years ago, they advocated for "Gay Days" at disney and for "Gay rights" in Europe. I didn't like them even before I knew that.

You're an ignorant asshole. Jackass, dickhead, whatever you call it. Just because they advocate gay rights instead of coming on a forum about technology and bashing them doesn't make them gay. In fact they're married (or divorced) to/from women, and have children. WOW- that's an pretty good front!! Not to mention they were probably the most innovative band to come out of the 80's. Take your stupidity to some anti civil rights forum, not here.

LOL, well at least I can show alot more maturity than you. I could have used the FA**** word but I didn't. And just because you like them, did I call you names or bash you?? ...I don't like them, nor do I like apple so I, as an american and a veteran of Iraq and afghanistan, will excersise the rights and freedoms I have helped uphold and say what I wish about anything I so choose. You also have that same right. But I didn't come in here just to bash them, I also bashed apple if you had been paying attention, which was more of my concern. I hate apple more than depeche mode (innovative they were but still stunk)....and for your 2 cents....I'm not racist. I was making a funny along the same lines as northern folk making fun of us southern folk being toothless and uneducated. I am sorry that your such a depech mode fanboi that you feel the need to defend them so hard. If you feel that bad, such to call people names, just send depeche mode some itune gift cards, or maybe even an ipod. I'm sure they'll love it and you'll feel better!!

Oh yes, you're much more mature, using a tech forum to express your dislike towards homosexuals. And yes, you did call them names, that's why I through it back at you. Oh, but your a veteren. hat makes it cool. My bad.

First off, i haven't used a tech forum to bash homosexuals. I was bashing depeche mode (homosexuals or not), and apple, get over yourself and have a slurpee.....and let's get this straight....i never said i hated anyone and calling them gay is not name calling.....hence, "gay rights", "gay days", civil rights movement for "gay marriages". So the word "Gay" in essence is not foul language. And I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but I will NOT stupe to political correctness in FEAR of offending someone. And yeah...I HATE radical islamic extremists...wanna throw that back at me too or do you happen to have a soft spot for their plight??
Here's a link I think you might like also.....

OK OK- Sorry- I came off too strong there. Shouldn't have called you an asshole when I don't know you. Just felt like you were bashing equal rights is all. No, no soft spot for Islamic Extremists. Just an idealism for all americans to see eye to eye. I think people have a misconception about depeche mode, and many bands of the 80s, because of there atire. That's just how the music scene was back then. And I even think some of there new stuff has a fresh, current sound to it. Some people get so uptight because there were these guys up on stage in leather pants and no shirts, etc., and it just didn't hurt anyone. And so they fought for gay rights- I don't think I'd compare that to islamic extremists. Just wanted to set that straight. I listen to all kinds of music, but I was really into them back in high school. And I too hate Apple. They may make decent working stuff, but I can't see spending twice as much for something just because it's bright white. Ooohhh sleek and elegent.
But Ah-ha? Hell no. That's below the belt!

The fact that we don't see Eye to Eye on everything yet get along and live together is what makes this country great. People that don't see Eye to Eye are the people that run this country. Would you ever want to see Just the Dems or just the Reps running this country? I sure wouldn't. I'm a republican. I'm not rich. It's nice to have some social programs that wouldn't be available if it were all republican. If it were all democrat no body would be aloud to get rich. It seems to me that the dems like to punish the rich and making it easy to get rich is the last thing any dem has on his mind. That's where reps come in. Reps want you to have the opprotunity to get rich. So you see it's great that we don't see eye to eye. I love the USA just the way it is..
All though the dems seem to run the country completely right now it wont last. I did vot for Obama though. When everyone starts seeing eye to eye on everything this country will no longer be as great as it is today.
In fact there are no free countries that everyone sees agrees completely with each other. Look at the UK and Canada and France and Germany.. They all have seperate parties just like here in the USA.
God bless the USA de da de de da da da....

I see what your sayin! Man, I wasn't trying to put down homosexuals or any group of people especially equal rights!!! I was just trying to make fun of them (depeche mode) and apple, that's all. I listen to mostly heavey metal but I will admit back inthe 80's they were kinda cool but just couldn't get into their music. As for apple, I will not buy any of their products. Not one. Have you seen the movie (documentary of Bill gates and Steve Jobs) on how they got where they are? If you haven't, watch it. It will make you think twice about MS and Apple. I'm sorry about the ah-ha link....um....it just slipped....;)

I will go ahead and exercise my 1st ammendment right to point out that Depeche Mode is in deed gay! And I don't care if I offend a homosexual. I was malested alot by homosexuals when I was young. I was kidnapped at a young age by a homosexual so don't go off defending homosexuals. They are free game when it comes to me. I hate them. The truth is the truth. If your offended oh well. They earned my hatred.

ANd I'm going to use my first ammendment rights to inform you that you, too, are an ignorant A-hole. People- do some effen reserch before you come to one of my favorite forum and turn it into garbage. Dave Gahan is married with kids, and Martin Gore is divorced now, but was narried for 12 years and also has kids. Why someone would want to come onto a technology website and start this kind of crap is beyond me. You're all so insecure!!
