Goverment stay the hell out of our lives! We own the content we decide what to do with it!
Laid down the cash and if we decide to share our goods find, didn't our Mothers teach us to share!!!
Long live Pirates Sites... Big P.S. Many times when I try to purchase content, and find the the content I'm
looking for is no longer availible by retail means. Most times I have found that content on many sites like ISOHUNT.
Thanks to thease sites I re-enjoy media no longer sold; they have made me very happy and you don't
want to get RAMBO mad; do you?

there is a rather sizable factory that hires only married men.
Concerned about this, a local woman called on the manager and asked
him, "Why is it you limit your employees to married men? Is it because
you think women are weak, dumb, cantankerous..or what?""Not at all, Ma'am," the manager replied. "It is because our employees
are used to obeying orders, are accustomed to being shoved around, know
how to keep their mouths shut and don't
pout when I yell at them."

Not to mention, The Pirate Bay is still up, still going strong. These rulings arn't going to stop sites that operate outside the law in the first place.

how can gary be in a world of finacial hurt? he lives in Canada not the US lol, besides shouldn't google get in troble also? you can search for anything on there including copyright infringing material, just add torrent, rapidshare, or megaupload or a huge list of any other site to the end of what you want to find like movies or music.

IsoHunt moved to Canada from the US a few years ago, but I believe Gary is still a US citizen and therefore subject to US laws. The point of the article, I think it's a valid point, is Gary's legal team choose not to use the standard safe harbor provision of the DCMA, which protects website owners like isoHunt when third-party illegal content appears on a site, as long as the site doesn't promote or engage in illegal activities itself and follows a stated policy for removal of the content.
Instead they took a run directly at the evidence and lost. I can only assume they thought safe harbor wouldn't be enough, for instance, if isoHunt knowingly indexed sites that were known to harbor infringing material. Hopefully there's a explanation for following such a risky strategy other than incompetence.

while i see your point about the safe harbor law isohunt does not knowwho does or does not host infringing material on their sites, it has been a custom of isohunt to remove infringin content when the owner asks, no questions asked. and gary is a Canadian citizen.
