iPhone Sees First Steep Discount, But You Probably Can't Take Advantage

Who in the right mind wouldn’t want to save $100 on the purchase of a brand new iPhone? Goodness knows I would, but now it looks like members of Best Buy’s Premier Silver Reward Zone are getting that perk with the purchase of any 8GB or 16GB model of Apple’s big seller.
Still, other non-premier Rewards Zone members will have the option to take half a c-note off of the retail price, which isn’t too shabby. Keep in mind that this is in addition to other discounts that will be given when you sign up for a new plan.
So you’re not a member of the Rewards Zone and you’re looking to cash in? Looks like you’re out of luck. This promotion is only for members that joined before the 21st of this month (when the deal began). If you are a member, you have until the 28th.

Come on Apple, get with the program. You keep holding out on Verizon and you're going to lose out because everyone is coming out with competing phones on Verizon and some of them are pretty sweet.
On another note, who really gives a crap about saving $50-100 if you lose calls on a terrible network?

My credit is poor and AT&T wants $700 bucks to start an account. No Iphone for me. Doh... I wish I never got married. Damn it if anyone ever listens to anything I say please take my advice and just say NO! Don't get married. Don't let her push you into it. Marriage in many ways is a fate worse than death. Sure it's great for her. She gets to have a roof over her head, free food, sex, she gets to satisfy that ticking biological clock and then divorce you for everything you have for the next 20 years. And the courts are setup to help women do it too. Of course she doesn't divorce you until your credit is gone. Love... Give me a break.

I wasn't being fair with my post. My ExWife and I just had our 3rd kid together two years after we divorced. So we are on pretty good terms.
But man I want a Iphone. I even thought about getting an Ipod touch and running Skype but alas it's just not worth it.

lol, man, I just found out my wife is pregnant!! This will be MY first child! Don't sweat getting an Ifonie...they suck like, well....an ex wife! You can't even copy/paste with them....goto sprint!!

I ended up at T-Mobile and got the G1 Android phone when it was released.

Hmm. I make my entire family use my rewardzone card so I have the Premier Silver status, but I also have no desire to sign a 2-year contract on AT&T. If it wasn't for that I would totally buy a 3G just to sell it on eBay unlocked.
