I like that someone has done this, especially with my big mitts of hands, but from everything I have heard so far, it's hardly worth it. Granted, it's probably comfortable enough to write a novel on and portable enough to do it at my local McD's*, but apart from it's butt-fugly looks - which make the thing look like it's made cheaper than it really costs - the whole copy-paste mechanic doesn't float it with me. Maybe 2.0, if we're so lucky, will fix this, but as it stands, it's not worth the BS hassle of getting the iPhone for.
*F__ Starbucks - I'm a late nighter, and they're not open late enough for me.

Hey Gordon is this the "Apple Tablet" that you were raving about a couple of podcasts ago.

Here's a thought for the narrow minded "my way or the highway" Apple developers.......ALLOW BLUETOOTH KEYBOARDS! I know BT keyboards aren't very common, but I have a nice, tiny folding one that I use with my Blackberry and Nokia N800. It works very well and has helped me quickly type many an email. Why would Apple disable this ability? I, for one, will not buy a handheld that doesn't support BT keyboards.

I think nearly all the modern aluminum Macintosh wireless keyboards are bluetooth keyboards. Have been for some time. They are VERY common.
Yep, just checked store.apple.com... the Apple Wireless Keyboard they sell is bluetooth.
So, in theory, with dev support, a BT keyboard could work with the iphone (but not the itouch - which just has wifi)

Since the iPhone doesn't allow messing with the internal keyboard app I heard you have to type with this thing and Paste it in to the iPhone. Super lame.
If the voice to text was as good as the Nexus One you wouldn't need this.
I have high hopes for Swype also making text input eazier on touch only phones.

So why not buy a netbook and save yourself the trouble and probably a bit of cash?...

get rid of the redundent keys on the iphone and this could prove a stepping stone between the iPhone and a Netbook...
