Value?  dear god, $650 for 100GB?  that looks worse than what the original price of SSDs were a few years ago.

They are expensive, but these aren't drives you'd plop into your home system. Enterprise drives tend to be much more expensive than consumer SSDs, and the "value" claim is in comparison to Intel's X25-E and other SLC-based drives. Check out the asking price for a 64GB X25-E.

good point, i suppose this is for an enterprise environment.
