Think of intel as a lobbyist for congress clone in which money and power usually gets them what they want. Nobody is suing intel just to sue intel. They must have a pretty damn good reason to take on a giant like this and I say good for them.

Why would Intel care about these petty lawsuits - they can easily absorb the hundreds of millions of legal cost and drag it throug the years in court.

Meanwhile, AMD continues to plummet (not because of super bad products) and if given enough time, they would go bankrupt and Intel would have  monopoly they strive to get.  Sure there's Via, Texas Instruments, etc... but they're not really competing in the same field on the business and consumer PC fronts.

It's really too bad for the consumers.

If the suit that is being filed against them now is the same as AMD filed but from a different source I would be watching AMD they could be the ones doing all the underhanded stuff because they are falling behind and by spending money on court fees and all that goes with it would slow Intel's R&D, and production there by giving AMD a perverbial chance to catch up.  I am not saying Intel is perfect or not guilty, but come on most of the claims are coming from AMD and people they seem to have under their belt.

Except there are documented claims by OEMS and the like of the bribery taking place.
At the time when all this started, AMD cpus were definately not inferior as they are now.  It was the time of the p4 vs the athelon xp's.
