These are SLC drives. Most larger, cheaper drives are MLC. Not sure if that makes it worth the cost or not, but that's why they're so expensive.

Yeah, not sure why the prices are so high (other than branding). From what I understand SLC is supposed to have an advantage in speed and/or endurance compared to MLC at the cost of capacity. These don't even compare to the other MLC drives in speed so what gives? Anyone who knows more about this care to explain?
