Intel to Launch Three New Core i3 Processors in Third Quarter

For those of you not holding out for Intel's upcoming Sandy Bridge-E platform but still wish to upgrade, the Santa Clara chip maker is reportedly prepping a trio of new Core i3 processors for Q3, each one priced so you can pull the trigger without feeling guilty for having overspent. Even the fastest of the bunch -- the Core i3 2130 -- will only set you back $138, making it affordable to cross the Sandy Bridge.

According to news and rumor site Fudzilla, the Core i3 2130 is set to replace the 2120 with a slightly faster clockspeed at 3.4GHz (versus 3.3GHz). It's a dual-core chip with HyperThreading and 3MB of L3 cache, but no Turbo.

Sitting in the middle of the three new chips is the Core i3 2125. This one will come clocked at 3.3GHz and is also a dual-core chip with 3MB of cache and no Turbo. Sounds just like the 2120, except the 2125 comes with Intel HD 3000 graphics clocked at 800-1100MHz, while the 2120 ships with HD 2000 graphics. No word on price.

Finally, there's the Core i3 2120T for small form factor (SFF) PCs, yet another dual-core chip with 3MB of cache and no Turbo. This one will sell for $127.
