Intel Feeling Nostalgic, Adds Old School Arcade Games to AppUp Center

The local arcade wasn't the place to score a date with the most popular girls from high school, but it was the place to bring a pocketful of quarters and immortalize your initials on classic titles like Pac-Man and Dig-Dug. You could also play these titles at home on your Atari 2600 console, and if you find yourself feeling nostalgic, as Intel is apparently feeling, you can relive those gaming moments on your Windows PC through the chip maker's AppUp center.
"Remember when you would play arcade games for hours during the summer? Relive those memories with these classics from Pac-Man to Missile Command on the Intel AppUp center," Intel announced today. "Vector Defender is a twist on Missile Command where players shoot with a cannon instead. Dig Dug is a faithful version of the original arcade mega-hit, down to the pest pumping and popping action. Millipede is another classic dating back to the good ol' Atari days."
Millipede and Missile Command are both free downloads, while Dig Dug runs $1.99, Vector Defender $2.99, and Pac-Man $4.99. All five are compatible with Windows 7 and XP.

One word: MAME. It's absolutely retarded to be selling 30 year old games.
and oh, Ms. Pac-Man, Phoenix, Gauntlet, Popeye, and Joust. I also loved Defender but always sucked at it.
