iBuyPower Worships Next Generation Erebus GT, Named after the God Darkness
In Greek mythology, Erebus is a primordial deity representing the personification of darkness. Given that overclocking was once considered a dark art, we suppose it's only fitting that iBuyPower would name a liquid cooled gaming system begging to be overclocked after the god of darkness. New and improved for the modern worshipper, the Erebus GT is similar to iBuyPower's first generation system, but has been redesigned with a smaller footprint.
Don't worry though, iBuyPower promises it didn't sacrifice cooling ability to attain a smaller profile, and we hope it didn't have to sacrifice any virgins either. Such rituals or so 15th century. iBuyPower also said it reduced the price (though neglected to mention one) "without significantly impacting performance."
So what's different? The Erebus GT sports removable hard drive cages with mounted fans for improved internal airflow, larger 140mm radiators, and an aluminum top panel. Three radiators and 13mm high flow tubing pump out 4.5 gallons per minute to keep those overclocked parts chilly, iBuyPower says.
Keep your eyes peeled on iBuyPower's website for price and availability updates.
