iBuyPower Summons Erebus to Lead Army of Gaming Machines
In Greek mythology, Erebus once represented the personification of darkness and shadow. Later on, Erebus came to describe the Infernal Region below the earth, the part of Hades the dead have to cross. Boutique system vendor iBuyPower tells us they've called upon the former version of Erebus to rise up and represent the company's new flagship gaming desktop line designed to cast "a dark shadow over the competition." If nothing else, we'll credit iBuyPower for coming up a cooler name than most OEMs give their systems.
"After two years of hard work we are proud to unveil this ground breaking system," said Darren Su, Executive Vice President of iBuyPower. "Erebus' custom built liquid cooling system will allow gamers to push the overclocking envelope, delivering unparalleled performance and creating the ultimate gaming experience."
The cost to summon Erebus into your home starts out at $1,249. For that kind of investment, he'll come wielding an Intel Core i5 2400 processor, 4GB of DDR3-1600 RAM, Nvidia GeForce GTX 550 Ti graphics card, 500GB hard drive, Gigabyte GA-P67A-D3-B3 motherboard, 24X DVD burner, 700W power supply, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
There are plenty of upgrade options if you fancy yourself a spending spree. Either way, each Erebus system comes in a special full tower case with custom cooling consisting of four radiators, high-performance coolant from Koolance, and anti-kink coil tubing also from Koolance. This too can be upgraded.

I duno, assuming I was in the market for a pre-built for that kind of opening price I think I'd rather just buy something from Digital Storm and know my liquid cooling was done right. No offense to iBuypower, but unless I'm mistaken outside of self contained units they don't have a lot of experience with custom setups.
