iBuyPower Relaunches Sandy Bridge Gaming Systems
Sequels are almost never as good as the original. There are exceptions, of course, and boutique system builder iBuyPower would like you to keep this in mind following its relaunch of gaming rigs with new Intel 6-series chipsets based on the B3 revision. What that means to Joe Gamer is he won't have to worry about any of the SATA 3Gbps ports flaking out over time.
Intel has been shipping replacement 6-series chipsets to OEMs since the middle of the month, and we're now starting to see systems sporting revised boards in the marketplace. That includes iBuyPower's flagship Chimera XLC-V system with a hot flame painted chassis and self-contained liquid cooling unit. Plenty of configuration options abound, including up to an Intel Core i7 990X processor; up to 24GB of DDR3-1600 RAM; single, dual, and triple videocard configurations; up to a 1500W power supply; HDD and SSD options configurable in RAID 0 or 1; and up to 30 percent factory overclocking.

That would be great news... if it were true. As of now, there is no mention of this on their website that I can find.

You really shouldn't buy from a company that charges 100 dollars or more for assembly and install. Other places will do a better job for less.
