Hulu Coming to Roku Boxes Soon?
People have really been anxious to see Hulu spread to more TV-connected devices since the service launched. The PS3 and iOS devices are a nice start, but it looks like Roku is up next. This is still up in the air, but sources are saying that a Hulu channel will be on Roku boxes in the coming weeks. It's not possible to know if this will be available for the free Hulu, or just for Hulu Plus.
As it stands now, only subscribers to Hulu Plus are able to get the streaming content on anything but a PC. Plus subscribers have access to content on the PS3, iPad, iPhone, and a few Blu-Ray players and TVs. The Plus service is still an invite only beta, and the early impressions are not good. Many complain about the lack of content. Would you be more tempted to pick up a Roku box if it had Hulu?

It would seem like a waste to have a Roku for something light and flimsy like Hulu Plus and not get Netflix.
Even if you are one of those people who is very serious about watching and keeping up on the newest shows and episodes, I would think a DVR would better suit your needs.

Probably the person who already has Netflix on their Roku, would then go for the Hulu Plus. But you're right, I agree that nobody would probably buy the Roku just to stream the Hulu Plus. They would probably want to have Netflix along for the ride as well.
DVR needs to have cable or satellite television and some people aren't willing to pay those high prices. Trying to get broadcast signal over the air is a pain in the @ss.
Edit: If you have a DVR that is compatible with Netflix and Hulu, then that would be a better choice than the Roku.

I tried Hulu Plus for one month (I paid $9.99). There's a few TV shows available on Hulu Plus that aren't available on Hulu Free, but nothing significant enough to purchase Hulu Plus. And only SOME of the content at Hulu is available on TV-connected devices. Basically what people are paying right now for $10 per month is to have Hulu on their TV-connected device... not that great. Hulu Plus has the same viewer experience as Hulu Free (no better HD).
I have a Roku box, so if Hulu lets me watch ALL content on Roku box, more content for Hulu Plus, plus greater higher definition (in browser), then yes I would get Hulu Plus again.
