HP TouchSmart 620 3D All-in-One PC is a Multi-Trick Pony
Hewlett-Packard long ago punched its ticket to ride the 3D bandwagon, but up until now, HP left its all-in-one passengers behind. Not anymore. The new HP TouchSmart 620-1080 3D Edition PC is everything it sounds like -- an AIO system with a 3D display -- plus a little bit more. Or as HP likes to call it, "the ultimate laid-back family entertainment center -- now with 3D."
The new 620 rocks a 23-inch Full HD (1920x1080) multi touchscreen display with LED backlit. It has a 4ms response time, 250 nits (typical) brightness, 1,000:1 contrast ratio, and of course is 3D capable with a pair of included stereoscopic glasses. It also has a 3D webcam wedged inside.
Outside of the display, the 620 is built around Intel's second generation Core i5 2400 processor clocked at 3.10GHz. There's 8GB of DDR3 system memory, a 1.5TB SATA hard drive (5400 RPM), slot-load Blu-ray player, Radeon HD 6670A graphics with 1GB of GDDR5 video memory, GbE LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Beats Audio, built-in TV tuner that allows you to pause, rewind, and record live TV, an HP Media Center remote, 6-in-1 memory card reader, seven USB 2.0 ports, IR blaster, headphone/mic ports, wireless keyboard and mouse, and Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. And of course the 620 comes with a heaping pile of specialized software tuned for 3D and touch input.
