Google's Street View Becomes "Slope View" with New Snowmobile
Any privacy minded individuals living away from population centers may think they’re safe from the intrusion that is Google Street View. Well, they might have to move a little farther away. Google has taken to attaching their 360 degree camera system to a snowmobile. With the Vancouver Winter Olympics coming up, Google thought it might be nice to give everyone a view of the slopes the athletes will be using.
“We wanted to do our best to try to capture some beautiful imagery, and have it available to everyone around the world to see so they can really experience what it’s like to be up there on the slopes,” said Google Senior Mechanical Engineer Daniel Ratner. It’s actually a fairly interesting experience cruising down the slopes through Google Maps, and you don’t need to go out in the cold. What’s the next vehicle Google should attach cameras to?

This is really where resorts are lacking i mean a PDF version of a trail map is ok, the latest you see are interactive flash trail maps. But a street view going down the trail on a snowmobile is just awesome to see the trail with a first person view. My snowmobile is covered with my auto insurance company which is pretty cool i go month to month though in the winter only then take it off the road.

I'm thinking they need to have some guys who break into houses and take 360 shots of inside. Then they find a way to attach cameras to some bacteria, leave that in the house when they leave, and the bacteria will map out your internal organs to give an internal view of everyone's entire body. So if you zoom in far enough to your house you can see the inside of it, and then inside your body.
I'm sure that privacy advocates will not have a problem with that.

They should attatch it to a bird so we can view their migration patterns.

Mount it on one of those lotus-elise-looking cars that can convert from ground to underwater. It'd be cool to beach view something as it decends into the water then see underwater. A shark attack in 360 views would be exciting.

I'd like a 360 view of an avalanche.
