AMAZING especially since Chrome itself as well as that useless google toolbar are some of the most prolific unwanted downloads that piggyback on things like Adobe reader updates and similar stuff.
At the computer help lab for seniors that I volunteer at some of the most frequently asked questions are about Chrome and the G toolbar, they ask, "Where did that come from and how can I get rid of it?"
So who is calling the proverbial kettle some politically incorrect color?

yeah and the Google-signed-but-outsourced Google Updater for all of their products on Windows is a huge gaping security hole though not as frequently taken advantage of as Apple Updater ha

Great cuz that is really annoying. Search for CoolSavings and you will understand that it doesnt need a download for that to happen.

Oh, this is not spam, my wife tried to find and print coupons and all of a sudden she is calling me asking why is that tool bar there and that google doesnt load on start up anymore.

And what about setting a custom cache size?! Yes, you can hack your shortcut link but I don't know if that goes away each time the program updates. We need to be able to set our own cache size. I just recently cleaned a friend's laptop to find that her Chrome browser was sitting on an Internet cache of 1GB!

or you can just actually configure your "internet options" from control panel in windows, which must be obeyed by any properly-coded windows program, is available when IE is disabled and obeyed by waterfox

Yeah, all well and good but when are they going to add another obvious feature like having your links automatically open in a new tab?

You can middle click on the scroll wheel and it will open the page in a new tab, or there's the sloppy right click open new tab.

Install Chrome Toolbox. Amongst other handy features it has this one too.

I couldn't agree more! It's for this very reason that I haven't made the full leap from Firefox to Chrome. I love Tab Mix Plus for FF and wish Chrome had the same functionality with tab opening for links, bookmarks, history, etc.
