My contract with AT&T is up soon and I need a new phone... I travel and live oversea frequently so I cant be tied to a 2 year contract... is the Nexus One worth the $500+ is costs?

I can't wait to get 2.2 on my Incredible! :)

That may take awhile, HTC has to port over the Sense UI, it will definitely hit the Moto Droid before the Incredible.

I'm still waiting for 2.1 for my Moment to come through sprint.

This is probably one of the greatest things Google has done.  One OS for multiple phones, one app store that works for them all.  Will defintely help move things forward a lot faster.

Like the other poster said, it's already out. AFAIK, the update won't directly get pushed to your phone via an OTA upgrade. You'll have to do it on your Windows PC (won't work on your Mac or in Linux) or take it into a Sprint Store (probably a service center) and have them do it.

The source has already been released as well and there's been custom kernel's popping up at http://www.sdx-developers.com/
