Google Docs Having a Little Trouble Printing, Importing and Exporting
Posted 10/14/09 at 04:42:36 PM by Bart Salisbury

Two steps forward, one step back. Google Docs recent upgrade, which included shared folders and multiple file uploads, came at a price. Some users are experiencing problems printing, and importing/exporting certain files. In the Google Docs help forum Google acknowledges a problem exists, but is tight-lipped about the exact nature and extent of the problem.
If you’re one of those affected, you can take solace in the words of Google employee Marie, who assures us “We’re aware of the issue....We’re currently looking into this issue.” Which sort of suggests the problem will get fixed when it gets fixed.

I don't know what Google has been doing to their back-ends, but whatever it is, Google Maps refuses to work for me any more in Firefox without freezing (probably an extension conflict since it works fine on the school computers running FF). Thank god for IE Tab I guess.

I doubt you have used Google Docs with a statement like that. No, it won't replace MS Office, OpenOffice, or any other desktop suite any time soon, but it most certainly does not suck. And it has its place. I am impressed with how good it is, and yes, how useful it is.
