Well I don't believe it, you can clearly see the halo of the dead donkey. Nice try Google.

Google Streetview once again shows itself to be a kick-ass product.

If the report was true, then it would have surpassed the kick- beep moniker and gone to the next level... kill- beep!

Have you ever seen them drive? That big phallus strapped to the roof gives them a license to kill.

(Of COURSE I made rude gestures!)

Hilarious. I can just imagine the supposed and cartoonish disregard from the Google employee steering the vehicle.

If this gets any more publicity, the front page of The New York Times will be "Google Did Not Tap That Ass."

They did not blur out the Donkeys face. One could easily zoom in on his face and identify him.

This article made me laugh so much! XD

You only need to look at the legs on the donkey to know that that the picture isn't that of an animal just hit by a car.

avatar

whiteodian

Are you an expert in animal homicide?

avatar

kitsunekaji

Apparently you do NOT live in an area where things get hit a lot. Where I live, I see dogs, mongeese, dogs, birds, dogs, cats, and dogs all the time. Oh, did I mention dogs? Once in a while, you see bigger animals too, but they usually wreck your car if you hit them, unless you own a monster truck.
It's obvious that the donkey was having a dust bath -or scratching an itch on its back.

I don't think there is enough evidence from the pictures to show how the accident caused its death. Maybe it was was only clipped but enough damage was done. Again, this is all speculation. Further investigation and questioning of the driver will need to be conducted.

OK, let's go to freaken Africa to look for some donkey that may or may not be dead

I'll leave going to the disease-ridden hellhole of Botswana in your hands, I'll stay back here in the comparatively civilized first world :D

avatar

whiteodian

Are you paying? If not, this seems like a job for the government and all their tax payer dollars.

Hilarious article, may favorite line: "Google isn't a donkey killer"
They should post that on their home page for a day.

avatar

It's a coverup. They murdered that poor, sweet, innocent donkey and when they were caught, they took photos of a live donkey in an attempt to make it look like they did no wrong doing. To Hey.That_Dude, they just avoid taking pics of the other animals they massacred. Somehow this one slipped in.

avatar

goodtime

A donkey is big enough that it would wreck the car. It would also be a lot more gory.

avatar

BlazePC

No doubt.

The world is upside down with type of crap.

Hey.That_Dude

This makes me wonder why no one has ever seen road kill anywhere else on Google maps. I don't know about Google, but I see a dead Rodents (squirrels, rabbits, etc), Raccoons, and Deer on a regular basis along my travel paths. Why hasn't Google been blamed for their deaths either? In addition to that, how do they miss them (since I never seen them on Google maps)?
