Can't find the article in back issues of MaximumPC to build a system with the Gigabyte 78LMT-S2P and AMD FX-6100. I bought the parts quite some time ago together with 8GB of RAM, 1TB SATA III HDD, and PSU. When was the article published?

Who gets to pick what color CPU sockets are? I think black is an excellent change of pace. I wonder if they considered Red, Green, or Blue...

AM3+ CPU not AMD3+ CPUs.  :-)

So AMD is releasing a single (line of) AM3+ CPU and will not ever release any more, ever?

I like this idea. I wonder if more manufacturers will adopt this process.
