GammaTech Adds Durabook S15C to Rugged Mobile Lineup
GammaTech specializes in rugged notebooks and tablets that can withstand a beating, and their newest offering -- the Durabook S15C -- fits the same mold. Built around Intel's Core i3/i5/i7 platform, it's been tested to MIL-STD 810G specification for drop, shock and spill protection. It also includes safeguards like a Computrace-ready BIOS, Kensington Lock, and TPM 1.2 data security.
A magnesium alloy case that's 20 times stronger than ABS plastic protects a 15.6-inch HD screen and the rest of the system from drops and other hazards. Processor options include an Intel Pentium P6200, Core i3 380M, Core i5 560M, or Core i7 620M. The S15C can be configured with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a single 2.5-inch hard drive protected by an anti-shock mount, DVD burner, 4-in-1 memory card reader, three USB 2.0 ports, FireWire, spill resistant keyboard, and various other odds and ends.
The DuraBook S15C is available now through authorized resellers nationwide.
