Galaxy Nexus Up for Pre-Order Tomorrow, Says New Report
This is the story that will not die. When will the US variant of the Galaxy Nexus launch? According to a new investigation by ComputerWorld, pre-orders are happening tomorrow (November 29) and the device will be coming out on December 8th. This jives with earlier rumors, but how official is this “confirmed” information?
ComputerWorld arrived at this conclusion after hearing from a few readers that had been in contact with Verizon Customer Service in recent days. All told much the same tale. In addition to the device being up for pre-order tomorrow, ComputerWorld claims the $199 launch price is all but confirmed. We find this part much more dubious.
The European Galaxy Nexus dropped a few weeks ago and received mostly positive reviews. The US edition will be exclusive to Verizon and will be packing LTE 4G data. Anyone out there have the credit card at the ready?

Yeah don't believe that crap.
It's December 8th, but will be $299.
The $199 thing was supposed to be a black friday deal but Verizon dropped the ball on that one.

Just picked up the Droid Bionic from Amazon's 1-penny sale (missed the deal on the Razr by 3 hours, SO MAAAAAD) for Verizon, so I will pass on this baby. Nice-looking phone though.

Would rather have the Galaxy Nexus for full MSRP than pay 1 cent for the Bionic, sorry dude, you bought a crappy phone.

There are apparently millions of people and hundreds of consumer review sites that dissagree with your in depth analysis. I bought the Bionic even after the Razr came out and I love it. I am sure the Razr and Nexus are fine phones, but I needed one right away and I needed to be able to swap the battery. I love my Bionic. You are saying it is crappy because it is only a few months old and was already trumped in performance by other phones. This is how technology goes all the time, nothing new. Won't be long before the Nexus gets trumpped either.

I'd rather pay $299 for the Bionic then pay $0.01 for the Galaxy Nexus. Just because you don't like it doesn't make it a crappy phone.

Then you're just flat out stupid, that's all that can really be said there.

Really dude? You come to the table with "crappy phone" and "you're stupid" and you think anyone is going to think you have any credibility at all?

I'm going to have to agree with athlon11 here. Paying $299 for a Droid Bionic over $0.01 for a Galaxy Nexus is pretty stupid. I literally can't think of a single advantage the Droid Bionic has over the Galaxy Nexus except for an 8 megapixel camera versus a 5 megapixel camera (which doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of picture quality). Sounds pretty stupid to me...
