Futuremark Announces Next-Gen 3DMark 11 Benchmark
Futuremark today put an end to all the speculation surrounding its upcoming benchmark by officially announced 3DMark 11. As you might expect, 3DMark 11 puts a heavy emphasis on DirectX 11 gaming performance, using a native DX11 engine created in-house.
"For over 10 years 3DMark has shown gamers what to expect from the next generation of real-time 3D graphics," said Jukka Mäkinen, Futuremark CEO, "So we are especially excited to announce 3DMark 11 and show the possibilities of DirectX 11 with the release of the Deep Sea trailer."
The Deep Sea trailer offers a sneak peek at Futuremark's upcoming tech demo, which the company plans to show publicly for the first time at the MSI booth at the Computex convention. Futuremark didn't commit to a specific release date for 3DMark 11, saying only that it will be available in the third quarter of 2010.
