Free Stuff: Sony's PlayStation Welcome Back Program is Online
Sony has had more than its share of issues lately, but just days after switching all its PlayStation services back on, they’re ready to woo jilted customers. That’s right, the Sony Welcome Back program is online. The free games and other perks will be available for your consideration until July 3. If you haven’t taken advantage by then, the deals go bye-bye.
Owners of the PlayStation 3 will get their choice of two games from a list of five: Dead Nation, infamous, LittleBigPlanet, Super Stardust HD, and Wipeout HD + Fury. PSP owners get to pick two games from LittleBigPlanet, ModNation Racers, Pursuit Force, and Killzone Liberation. So if you have both systems, that’s 4 free titles for you.
All users can also take advantage of a free month of PlayStation Plus service. This premium offering comes with exclusive games, demos, and discounts on purchased content. Sony is also providing some free streaming movie rentals this weekend where video services are available. Hit the PlayStation Blog at the link above to check out the full FAQ with such gems as “When does the 30 days of my PlayStation Plus access expire?” Hint: in 30 days.

Sorry Sony, I'm not interested. Before you were in the news about how bad your security was, you were in the news because you were trying to legally find out who VISITED A WEBSITE about a how to mod the PS3, and taking legal action against the owner of that site. Now I've never owned a Playstation, but in the past have used some of your services, like station.com. I really don't want anything to do with you now, if I can help it.

Eh, dunno if I'm gonna get mine. Looks like I got playstation plus, but after errors trying to get the first download this morning it wasn't showing up anymore, and then it happened with the 2nd download a short time ago.

i had problems downloading at first (second psp game would not show up) if you read the release from sony, down at the bottom in the common question section it tells you how to get them.

in the cross bar, go to playstation network and choose account management,
then transaction management, then services list. you should find your missing download options there.

I got my first game last night. Then I selected my second game and got an error message. Sony then would not let me get my second game because it said I already had it. Complete crap.

I like how Max PC is reporting the PSN news. My PSN and PC are best of friends, streaming everything to the television.
Just hit CIRCLE and then try it again, over and over. It worked within 3 tries for each of the categories for me. Had to go back to the XMB and under Network Management to download the stuff though, as that part of the store kinda messed up.

Yeah I had to spam myself into the store to get the complementary downloads. After I selected the two games I couldn't access the store again though.

Tried to login, but I get errors. When I did manage to login to the store, my system would freeze or error out. Too many people trying to do the same thing. Same thing happens when my son tries to download a new DLC for COD when it first comes out. Looks like I will try again Monday morning when all the kids are at school.

I agree, but my kids like the console. However, I am slowly bringing them to my side, but as my son says, all his friends are on the PS3, and he likes to play against them.
