Firefox Update Fixes Location Bar Spoofing Vulnerabilty and Other Bugs
Mozilla this week released an incremental update to Firefox -- version 3.5.6 -- which fixes a handful of security threats ranging from low to near critical, as well as several stability issues, the company said.
Sitting higher up the security totem pole, the latest update addresses crashes with evidence of memory corruption, memory safety fixes in liboggplay media library, and an integer overflow issue. It also fixes an NTLM reflection vulnerability, location bar spooking vulnerability, and privilege escalation via chrome window opener, all of which were either classified as 'high' or 'moderate.'
Firefox should have already downloaded and installed the update. If not, you can update manually by clicking Help>Check for Updates.

If FireFox will just fix the shitty performance I've been getting since 3.5 came out, I'd be happier. But even with this update, and having removed all of my add-ons, FF with more than five tabs open performs like a rock. I've been using Chrome more and more and even IE8!!! What is the world coming too when I'm left with better performance from Internet Explorer!!!???
