Just wondering if Firefox 4 will ever come out of beta.

Yup. Once its finished. Its in beta 11 now. Close to completion.

Would you rather they release a finished product, or a buggy one?

Since it is up to the web sites to implement this as well, I think this chicken is dead on arrival.

To put some life back into it, Firefox should also have a 'return random tracking information' option as well.  Therefore, if web sites don't start playing ball and working with us, we can pollute their data and make collecting and analzying it useless.

You should submit your idea to Mozilla.

I like your thinking!

Well, I'll just leave this PERMANENTLY  checked ;P.

Should have happened a long time ago, and we should be thinking about laws regarding tracking, because Company XYZ has no business knowing that you prefer marshmallow pies over meringue, a Mercedes over a Mazda, and monkeys over meerkat *and then even more*. I don't think there would be any infringement on the companies themselves should a law that is *written properly* pass.
