Facebook Now Worth a Cool $50 Billion

Investors had their asses handed to them in the last tech bubble burst and they're at it again. Much like Twitter, Facebook is a concept (as brilliant as it is) in search of a robust revenue model. Caveat emptor.

Thanks in large part to legislation like the Sarbanes–Oxley Act going public is far more difficult than it used to be.  As a result there have been few IPOs for Wall Street to get behind.  Instead they have to look at Angel funded companies to see where to put their financial might.  It is giving false credit to say that Wall Street is looking at companies like Facebook when Facebook is globally recognized - it is not as though someone at Morgan Stanley bought into Facebook years ago, they only notice now because we have all already noticed.
