EVGA has unveiled a dual display LCD called EVGA InterView. Its two displays, which have a 17-inch screen size and boast a resolution of 1440 x 900 each, can be turned 180 degrees on a horizontal axis so to face opposite directions. The image orientation is adjusted automatically when the monitor is flipped.
Each display has a contrast ratio of 500:1, a brightness of 200 nits and a pixel pitch of 0.255mm x 0.255mm. InterView’s response time is claimed to be 8ms. The two displays share a 1.3MP webcam, three USB ports and a DMS connection. The EVGA InterView carries a price tag of $649.

Well if you check it out at Evga.com you will see that its not meant for gaming or even the home office. Its meant for business's. It actually makes quite a lot of since now. But why would evga make something like this I dont really know.
Am I missing something?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way I could see this product have any value at all is if the boundaries between the two screens is very small so that it seemlessly appears like one extended screen. But the gap looks larger than if you just bought two monitors and stuck them next to each other? wtf?
Is this a joke?

Is this a joke? This is the worst ripoff of a product I have ever seen. First off 1440x900? This means neither screen is capable of playing anything at full 1080 resolution which has become the minimum standard for monitors these days. a brightness of 200 is extremely poor, generally the minimum for a decent monitor is 250 with higher end units at or near 500. 8ms response time when most displays are 2-5 ms. And 500:1 is very low for contrast ratio. The gap between the two displays is rediculously large if you are planning to span your display across both monitors. So basically you are paying $125x2 for 2 5 year old 17" displays, and $400 for a stand. Anyone who is seriously interested in this, save yourself some money, just go to newegg and buy two of these:

and get a stand for them.

Gosh ... you know...The whole dual display is cool for work and productivity. But I could never see myself getting one for gaming. I cant get past the whole vertical black area in the middle of my game.

I use 4 seperate ones now, but I am thinking of switching to something like this. Just need two of these, and it would keep things more organized since you would be dealing with only two stands.
