Embattled Psystar to Support Snow Leopard on Hackintoshes
Psystar once again flips Apple the bird by confirming it will support Mac OS X Snow Leopard on all new Mac clones. Furthermore, the company said it had developed "new virtualization technologies" to better integrate with the newly released OS like "never before."
At the same time, Psystar issued a warning to its customers not to install Snow Leopard until the OEM had a chance to work out any kinks and ensure a no-fuss upgrade.
"We ask you not to attempt to install the new OS X as it may cause harm to your computer, resulting in a possible re-installation of Leopard OS 10.5 and a loss of data," Pystar wrote in a blog post. "As with all previous software updates to the OS, Psystar meticulously tests and retests all software updates to confirm their compatibility with older Psystar machines."
As could be expected, Apple is none too happy about Psystar's continued defiance and has asked a California judge to order a 30 day "re-opening of discovery" to give Aple time to obtain Psystar's modified Snow Leopard source code.

This is dumb, it's been awhile but last time I checked Psystar had used the OSx86 project's code to do their best of both worlds. They're taking what the community gave and selling it.

The real question is: Why would anyone actually want OS X? I've been using a mac mini for iphone work for a few months and still can't get over how lame the interface is compared to my sweet sweet Win 7 desktop.
Given all the praise about how user friendly and easy it was supposed to be, I was shocked to find I can only resize a window from the lower right hand corner. I can't even tell when the mouse is in the right spot because the cursor never changes. Oh yeah, and that corner is covered by the dock.
The dock is always in my way, I can never tell which applications I have running, and it's hard to see which app is in focus.
Finder is the goofiest file browsing system known to man. Want to go up a directory? Or hell, How about just path to where you are in the file system. Just change your whole perspective to some strange column view. Then scroll to the left, then select the folder. I guess you can kinda tell where you are by the greyed out folder with the white arrows. CAN I GET AN ADDRESS BAR PLZ!
Tooltips? WTF is that? Your in Mac world where you're supposed to know what every icon is without a being told.
Bleh... Might as well install Linux and KDE or GNOME at least that stuff is free.

I was seriously considering buying one of these so I can have the best of both worlds while at the same time have kick ass hardware..
After reading up on them I changed my mind. They don't even appear to have a solid location lol.

What's the market these guys are trying to sell too? True Apple fan boys wouldn't get within 10 feet of one of these things. The ignorant masses have no clue a non-Apple computer can run Mac OS so there aren't any buyers there (unless there is a huge advertising run for Psystar). Anyone who IS aware (enthusiast, power user) would be more likely to build their own Hackintosh. Shucks, MPC published a how to not too long ego.
