"Bethesda is working on a patch that, among other things, makes it much more satisfying to kill enemies."

Yeah right if your a long time player your most likely also a member of

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/index.php

where the excellent better kill shots mod has been circulating for quite awhile now

so what did Bethesda do "lets steal someone else's work a claim it as ours"
yeah way to go Bethesda and NO to the MMO

Or they made it themselves which is better because most people don't use mods... So you know be grateful they gave people modding tools and made it so simple to mod their game, instead of making arrogant statements.

What happened to the litany of reasons Bethesda gave for Skyrim being single-player? Making a TES MMO is completely selling out, and means that there will likely never be a proper follow-up to the excellent Skyrim.

Well, since they made Skyrim already, I do think that it gives them a chance to try a MMO. I mean, they already have a singleplayer game out, so..

By your reasoning, Skyrim should've been an MMO since Bethesda already had Oblivion out. Besides, it will be YEARS before such a thing hit the market.

This is just a sell-out, and it's going to do awful things to a rich and storied game franchise. I'm very disappointed.

It would be nice if someone could develop a decent MMO. I was looking forward to SWTOR but it turned out to be a bit disappointing. It was fun for about a month and then just got boring very quickly. Flashpoints were rather lame. I'm still waiting for someone to develop an MMO that is as fun and addictive as WoW used to be during it's popular years. I think everyone rushes too quickly to get their product done. SWTOR has/had great potential, but it feels a little empty in some areas.

Agreed. I was excited about SWTOR, too, but was disappointed that it is basically a clone of every other MMO out there. I challenge ANYONE to make an MMO that doesn't basically consist of me hitting the number keys and waiting for cooldowns. A first-person perspective MMO that really is unique would be refreshing.

I've always thought it would be fun to play Elder Scrolls games with friends, but there's too many issues that would come up. Skyrim is already easy on it's hardest setting. Can you imagine what a decked out real live player companion would be like instead of the clunky computer AI? They'd have to seriously scale the difficulty.

programing for ps3, xbox, and pc and expecting to accomplish that in direct types of direct x is insanity.

Hopefully the kill shots and camera-on-an-arrow can be disabled. I'm behind an iron-grip proxy here at work. Can anyone provide more info?
