EA Newsapolooza: Crysis 2, New Dragon Age, Medal of Honor Dated; Dead Space 2 Skipping PCs

EA recently released its Q3 fiscal statement, and it’s a magnitude seven doozy. Not to be a downer, though, but first on the release schedule is The Waiting Game, as most of these titles won’t be out until the second half of 2010.
First up, Crysis 2’s positioned itself deep within the overgrown jungles of 2010’s holiday season with an October-December 2010 release window. Medal of Honor and massively multiplayer cops ‘n’ robbers sim All Points Bulletin, meanwhile, are both dropping between the months of July and September. As if three whole games weren’t enough, EA also announced a new Dragon Age title for early 2011.
It’s not all good news, however. For some mystifying reason, the mega-publisher’s decided to release Dead Space 2 on every platform under the sun – even handhelds! – except the PC. Well, whatever. We don’t need the pants scared off us. We’ll take off our own pants. That’ll show ‘em.

That's weird... Newegg says that Crysis 2 will be here by April because you can preorder it right now.

Almost misread that as all of those titles not coming to PC. I would have been TICKED.

"We’ll take off our own pants."
Wait. I was supposed to be wearing pants before?

I'm certainly not surprised by EA's decision to go non-PC for Dead Space 2. After how bad they crippled The Sims 3 with their latest patches or the fiasco of the "day one DLC" for Mass Effect 2, I would love to hear about people spending $60 on an EA game, only to rant about how crippled it is later on.

Where does EA get off not releasing Dead Space 2 on PC? We aren't loyal enough fans? We don't buy enough games from EA? I sure won't support EA anymore.

-.- I hear that all too often, and wonder when it'll actually make a difference.

Are you serious? EA stock has been in a freefall for almost 5 years now. It's currently trading at $16.07 a share as of 15 minutes ago. It's high in the last 5 years is $71.16. That my non bussiness minded friend is the very definition of people making a difference by not buying EA products. Even with a poor economy there are many publishers making nice profits in the gaming industry. EA is stuggling and it's only by the fact that not many have faith EA can turn it around that they have not already been bought out. I know we at Disney looked long and hard at doing that, and so have others, and it's just not a good investment even with EA's portfolio.
