Droid Razr Maxx Official for January 26th for $299
Verizon and Motorola turned some heads at CES 2012 when they announced an update to the just released Droid Razr, the Droid Razr Maxx. Verizon has finally cut short the waiting game and announced that the Maxx is out on January 26 for $299 on-contract. To the great annoyance of Razr owners, the Maxx brings some notable spec bumps, and sells for the same price users paid for the first Razr a few months ago.
The Droid Razr Maxx has 16GB of internal storage, as well as a massive boost in battery capacity to 3,300mAh. The original Razr rocked just a 1780mAh cell. Like the first Razr, the battery in the Maxx is non-removable and hidden behind a kevlar back. The trade off is that the Razr Maxx is slightly thicker than its predecessor at 8.99mm, which is still quite thin.
The Maxx will have the same qHD screen, 8MP camera, and 4G LTE radio as the regular Razr. A version of the Razr lacking an SD card is already selling for $199, but the 32GB variant is still $299. We expect a price drop.

No mention of the OS which makes me assume it's not ICS. The Galaxy Nexus is still better on so many levels.

Since you don't know ill inform you. Its 2.3.5. But ICS is in beta for it right now. The Jan 17th build pics are floating around the web.
Now since you decided to bash a phone you don't know anything about I have to ask you....hows that radio in your "G-Nex"? Hows that "awesome" 6 hour battery life doing it for ya? How about the thousands of people who are RETURNING their Nexus' for a RAZR or Rezound hmm?

I really can't believe people think this phone is too big. It's less than 5 1/4" tall...and 2 3/4" wide....and it's only 9mm thick.
5 inches....by 3 inches....fricken SINGLE DIGIT MILLIMETER thick.
How on earth is that too big?
I wear a small(Small Extra long to be exact) Army Combat Uniform top and my extended battery Droid Bionic fits perfectly in the smallest pocket and it's BIGGER than this phone.
If this phone CAN'T fit in your pants pocket. Then you are either A: A child and your clothing size is in the toddler section. Or B: A hipster and don't own any adult size pants.
This phone is smaller than the below average hand. So if this phone IS "too big" for your pocket then your own friggin hand can't fit in your pocket. Guess what that means? Buy normal size pants people. Stop wearing the "jeggings" hipster pants. They don't look cool. You look like Captain Planet and Richard Simmons had a clothing line and you're their "petite" model. Stop it. Seriously.

For some reason, one day I was inspired to practice with the bottom of guitar up on my left leg, right over my pocket. The weight of the guitar crushed the outer screen of my beloved RAZR.
And I'm a middle-aged guy who wears relaxed business attire, not tight pants, you silly little phan bois. The new phone is too damn tall and wide. Any bigger and they'd have to call it a tablet. I want a phone that fits comfortably in my pocket without bulging out.

5x3" is "too big" huh? Your hands are bigger than that. Are they "too big" for your pocket?
Also I'm not falling for "middle aged guy who wears relaxed business attire" scam. Middle aged men don't use the term "silly little phan bois". You may be middle aged in body, but you're mentally still a child.
Still, if you can fit your hands in your pockets then you can fit this phone in them too.

Damn phone is too big. I had the old RAZR, and I'd still have it, had I not broken it with my damn guitar. That phone kicked ass, and was comfortable to carry.
I can't put a damn Etch-A-Sketch in my pants pocket. The new RAZR may be thin enough, but its too damn tall and wide. Not impressed.

Dude seriously stop wearing hipster skinny jeans. It's only 5 inches tall and not even 3 inches wide.
You mean to tell me you cant fit a 2 3/4" wide device in your pocket? Then you you need to wear adult size pants.
