Hey lookie, Monthly Geek Squad Black Tie Protection is only $9.99 and I'm sure that's on a monthly basis. Wow what a deal!

Now someone pay for the service and post the proof here so we can all laugh at you.

They just released the Droid X.  Now they are going to push the Droid 2....  So what will be the "big" differences that will draw the average buyer to look at 2 rather than X?

sotoa

droid 2 is not 4.3, thats the droid x

What size is the new screen?

They need to get this droid thing under control, Droid, Droid X, Droid Incrediable, Droid Eris, Droid 2.  How are people supposed to keep all these straight?

The Incredible and Eris are made by HTC and don't officially carry the Droid moniker.  The Droid name is mostly Motorola's pollution.

100% incorrect, the Droid branding is Verizon's idea as all the phones under the Droid banner have actual manufacturer names. Oficially they are the Droid Eris and Droid Incredible, look at Verizon's literature. The only Android phones that Verizon sells that don't carry the Droid moniker the LG Ally and Moto Devour which are really low end POS phones, all the better Andoid phones VZW sells go under the Droid name.

What happens if you don't buy the phone from Verizon?  Is it still called a Droid?  For instance, buy an HTC incredible from ebay or other 3rd party site.

The official name of the phone does not carry the Droid brand.  Weather Verizon wants to put it on there due to the successor of the original Droid is whatever.

droid/droid 2 have keyboards

incredible is just touchscreen and is crazy fast

eris is low end and has the trackball (i think)

all the other droids are generally lower end and not worth your time.

Mostly correct except that the Droid X is definitely a better phone than the Droid Incredible as the HTC phones are rather cheaply made.
